Caster wheel Height selection

Mounting height:refer to the vertical destance from the ground to the installation location,Caster installation height is defined with the vertical distance from the mounting plate to the wheel edge.

The support towards the center distance: refers to the center vertical line to the center of the core rivet round horizontal distance.

Turning radius: refers to the center vertical line to rivet the external edge of the tyre horizontal distance, proper spacing makes the caster can make a 360 degree turn. Turning radius reasonable or not can affect the service life directly.

Running load: castor moving load-bearing capacity is also called dynamic load, dynamic load for different test. but also because of wheel material different, the key point is whether the structure and quality of support resistance to impact and shock.

Impact load: when the equipment is instant load-bearing capacity of castor bearing impact or vibration.

Static load: casters can bear the weight of in the stationary state. Static load should be general to exercise load (dynamic load) of 5 ~ 6 times, static load should be at least 2 times as the impact load.

Steering: The hard, narrow wheels are more easy than soft, wide wheels. Turning radius is an important parameter of the wheel, If the rotating radius too short may result shaking and reduced wheel life.

Flexibility: the factors that affect the selection of casters flexibility, structure and a support steel bracket wheel size, type, wheel bearings, In smooth hard ground the bigger wheel are more flexibility than soft narrow flat wheels, but the soft wheels will be runing more easy on the soft and uneven ground. And the soft wheel can better protect the equipment and shock absorber when on the uneven ground.
